The NRS Oso is where the line of beginner and recreational PFDs begin to gain more technical attributes. Description

The Oso comes with a five panel design, across the back half of which the foam is distributed more sparsely. Down the centre of the back panel is a ventilation panel to allow your back to breathe on longer journeys so you don’t overheat. The cut of the rest of the PFD is designed to maximise your movement so you can paddle freely without any irritation.

Two large pockets on the front of the Oso give you loads of space to store on-the-water essentials, and there’s a rescue knife attachment point, too. These knives become essential in certain environments or if you’re a recreational angler. For keen anglers, there are more suitable PFDs further down the list, but the Oso would suit someone who occasionally fishes from their kayak.

Reflective accents and shoulder strap keepers finish off this comfortable, adjustable, multi-purpose PFD.

NRS also offers a female-specific version of the Oso model. It is called NRS Nora.
