NRS Big Water Guide

Whether you want to paddle big water, or just want to know you’ll have your head well above water if you do fall in, NRS Big Water Guide has all the flotation you could need. The fit and the adjustment keeps this PFD snug to your body. An essential factor to keep you safe, it also maximises your movement and freedom to paddle through the white water.

There are two enormous zippered pockets on the front, which are easy to access and quick to open and close. Behind these are fleece lined hand warmers, which are more than welcome on those cold days on the river when you’re having a break.

On the shoulder straps there is an attachment point for a whistle and a rescue knife lash tab.

In reality, the Big Water Guide focuses on the primary function of floating, rather than having all the bells and whistles you might need for rescues. It’s quite a high cut when compared with some of the other NRS PFDs, which may prevent some finite movements for paddling certain rivers. All of this, along with the absurdly strong 500 denier ripstop cordura make this an extremely popular PFD for rafting companies and kayak schools.
