Stohlquist Fit

Sometimes, simplicity is key. Stohlquist Fit is a multi-use PFD designed for high mobility and ease of use. The large buckles on the front can be used with cold hands or small hands, and that lack of a zip can make this a far easier PFD to fit around layers or on larger users.

The Fit has the majority of the foam at the bottom of the panels, where the PFD wraps snugly around your waist, offering protection as well as floatation. The panels do come quite high, though, and so this may not be the most comfortable PFD for paddlers who want to go longer distances, and is better suited to recreational paddlers using sit-on-top kayaks. The length of the Fit might make it a difficult fit in a more traditional style of kayak.

The Fit is more than just a paddling PFD, and the multi-sport function could be appealing to users who also have other needs. It’s simple, it’s effective. Younger paddlers can enjoy this effectiveness from the Fit Youth version.
