Description
Stohlquist Coaster has a similar cut and design to the Cadence model, but is a step towards touring and longer recreational days out. It still utilises Stohlquist’s graded sizing and the same thinner design and larger footprint, but has a slightly more freedom focused cut. This couples well with the open sides for maximum ventilation and movement. Along with the thin foam this means you’re going to have to work pretty hard to overheat in this PFD, but that hard work will be easy with the amount of freedom your arms will have.

Coaster by name, coaster by nature, one of the primary pockets on this PFD has a can holder in it, so you can paddle along without spilling a drop, and always have your drink ready. Just remember to wash it out after, sugar does nasty things when left inside pockets!
The pocket selection is probably the key separation between the Cadence and Coaster. Once you start going further afield, you need to carry more stuff with you and that stuff needs to be really accessible. Not only are the pockets on the Coaster big enough to hold everything, but they’re organised, too, so you won’t end up with scratched and battered sunglasses, or unable to find your camera just as you need to take that photo.
