NuCanoe Unlimited

The Unlimited features NuCanoe’s signature open deck that is perfect for fly fishing or giving you plenty of leg-room while you fish. The kayak is 12’6” long and is relatively lightweight at just 84 lbs. As the name indicates, there are virtually no limits as to where you can take this kayak and feel comfortable on the water.

Size and Weight

The NuCanoe Unlimited has a length of 12’6” (381 cm) and a width of 41” (104 cm). This size makes it a great blend of both speed and stability. The spacious deck is more suitable if you are a larger-sized user that prefers to have as much room as possible.

This kayak is very similar to the NuCanoe Frontier 12 in size and other capabilities. The Unlimited tips the scales at 84 lbs (38 kg), which is relatively lightweight for a boat that can easily be modified to serve as a tandem kayak.

Capacity

In similar fashion to the Frontier 12 or the F10, the NuCanoe Unlimited can be used in solo or tandem mode. It is capable of supporting up to 650 lbs (294.8 kg), which means you can easily fit two average-sized individuals on the kayak.

If you’re a large person who requires more room, better stability and greater overall capacity, the Unlimited is an outstanding kayak that will allow you to confidently traverse any kind of water.

Features

There is no shortage of features with the NuCanoe Unlimited. This boat offers a number of different things that can be modified or adjusted, making the Unlimited one of the most customizable kayaks on the market today.

With stability being a central focus of this model, it’s clear that the 360 Fusion seat is one of the best features. The seat is designed to let you rotate a full 360 degrees and lock into position facing any direction. This allows you to fish an area more thoroughly without having to reposition your kayak.

The seat mounts to the two 79” TopLoad Deck Tracks that let you position it fore and aft as much as you want. These super long gear tracks also make it possible for you to add another seat to make this a capable tandem kayak.

The ability to position the seat as far forward or backward as you want makes this boat great for anyone who has a large amount of gear. The Unlimited also has the space and capacity that’s ideal for hunting as it can let you haul harvested big game animals on the boat if necessary. The only downside to the seat is the inability for you to adjust the height and sit higher or lower.

The bow offers a handle, as well as a threaded bow-mount insert that allows you to put an anchor wizard, as well as some types of trolling motor mounts. The Unlimited also offers a wiring access plate on the bow that makes it much easier for you to drill through and install any electronic equipment.

The wide-open and spacious deck is another central feature of the NuCanoe Unlimited. The open space extends all the way up to the bow, which makes it possible for you to add another seat, or store a significant amount of gear in this section in front of your seat.

In addition to the 79” TopLoad Deck Tracks, the Unlimited offers a pair of 10” accessory tracks on the bow, as well as one 15” TopLoad gear track running along the middle of the deck near the bow.

You’ll also find two molded tackle pockets on either side of the cockpit area, as well as a wiring access plate on either side of the seat’s normal position. Just next to these plates are two molded-in cupholders on either side of the kayak.

The stern offers two flush rod holders and enough space to comfortably fit a cooler and crate. The stern is designed with a squared-off transom that makes it easy to install most trolling motors and other items.

Performance

While most kayaks of similar width are known to be mostly sluggish and hard to maneuver, the NuCanoe Unlimited shatters expectations when it comes to performance on the water. This kayak gives you much greater control thanks to its unique hull design.

This boat is very much as easy to turn as the F10 or the Frontier 12, but gives you much more speed thanks to its short waterline and long body. You’ll also enjoy outstanding stability with the Unlimited, even when using it in tandem mode with another person.
