Description
Size and Weight
With its 11’ (335.2 cm) length, the Weber Angler 110 is a decently sized boat that boasts a good mix of natural tracking ability and portability. The 30.5” (77.5 cm) width is average for a boat this size, providing just enough stability in the water without hampering the speed.
The Weber Angler 110 weighs in at 59.3 lbs (26.8 kg). While this isn’t particularly light for a boat this size, when we consider that it comes with a few fishing-specific features and performance-centric design choices not normally found on standard recreational kayaks, this added weight does make sense.
Moreover, since the boat comes with front, back, and side handles, it’s simple enough to carry to and from the car, despite its heavier weight.
Capacity
The Weber Angler 110 has a maximum weight limit of 300 lbs (136 kg). In reality, this is generally more than enough for the majority of paddlers who are looking to get out on the water for a short fishing adventure.
That being said, larger paddlers or anyone that likes to bring a lot of gear should be wary of this weight capacity. Since one shouldn’t load a boat beyond 80% of its stated capacity, the effective limit of this kayak is about 240 lbs (108.9 kg).
Features
When designing the Weber Angler 110, Lifetime set out to include some fishing specific features that provide functionality without breaking the bank. We’re happy to report that they didn’t disappoint.
This kayak comes with Lifetime’s “Triple Threat Fishing Configuration,” which includes 2 flush mount and 1 deck mount rod holders for added versatility on the water.
The boat also has both a rear and a forward tankwell, which are useful for storing extra gear outside of the cockpit area. In particular, the rear tankwell has a non-bungee corded area that can be used for lashing down a kayak cooler for icing your catch until you can get back to the car.
Additionally, the Weber Angler 110 has an adjustable back seat for lumbar support. It also comes with a seat pad for added comfort during long fishing days, as well as a central gear storage hatch within the cockpit for stashing away your most essential items.
Performance
The 11’ (335.2cm) long Weber Angler 110 naturally tracks better in the water than some of its shorter counterparts. However, Lifetime took performance to the next level with this boat by giving it a retractable skeg.
Thanks to this skeg, the Weber Angler 110 tracks better in windy positions. This is because the skeg acts as a source of resistance in the water during windy conditions. As a result, it stops your boat from turning unnecessarily, allowing you to continue in a straight line with less effort.
The boat also offers a lot in terms of primary stability in calm conditions, thanks to its flat, rounded hull. As a result, the Weber Angler 110 provides a stable platform for casting lines and enjoying your day out on the water.
