At 14’2” (431.8 cm) long and 36” (91.44 cm) wide, this kayak is a rather compact two-seater.
Weighing in at 105 lbs (47.62 kg), the Lure 2 Tandem is quite light when considering its capability of carrying two full grown adults.

Capacity

The Lure 2 Tandem has a generous maximum capacity of 500 lbs (226.79 kg). Load your preferred gear and enjoy a day out on the water with family. Just remember that it is not suggested to load a kayak past 80% of its maximum capacity.

Features

The Lure 2 Tandem keeps many features that kayakers love without hindering the two-seater cockpit design.

In the cockpit, we have two Gravity Seats. These comfortable, adjustable seats are perfect for long days on the water. Their adjustable backrest ensures an ergonomic and comfortable ride. If your kayaking partner isn’t available, you can also completely remove the front Gravity Seat and enjoy the massive legroom available in the Lure 2 Tandem.

Each section of the cockpit includes a removable sonar pod. These pods will keep your electronics safe, store your snacks, or even keep a map from getting wet while you enjoy your day on the water.

Each section of the cockpit also includes a reinforced standing platform. This platform keeps your feet firmly planting while standing in your stable kayak.

The Lure 2 Tandem comes with plenty of storage space for your gear. The crate recess in the stern of the kayak is large enough to hold any heavy gear needed while the front hatch can be used to store a drybag. The crate recess includes tie-downs to keep your gear secure while on the water.

To help carry this kayak, FeelFree has molded handles on the bow, stern and sides of the kayak. These handles are sturdy enough to double as strap points while securing your kayak for transportation.

The Lure 2 Tandem also comes with Uni-Tracks from bow to stern. These tracks can be used to attach various fishing accessories, all of which can be slid out of the way while on the water.

For those who fish while kayaking, the Lure 2 Tandem comes standard with dual fishing rod holders. These holders keep your rods out of harm’s way while keeping them nearby and ready to cast.

Rounding out this kayak’s features is the patented Wheel in the Keel. This wheel helps transport your kayak to and from the water, all while keeping the hull safe from damage.

The Lure II Tandem is Overdrive, Motordrive and rudder ready (these systems are sold separately).

Performance

Even though the Lure 2 Tandem is FeelFree’s largest kayak, it doesn’t act like that. This kayak can easily be controlled and powered by a single person. It also turns very well and can reach speeds close to 4 mph on a good day.
