Features

The hull design itself is one of the main features of this boat. The length provides stability, speed and space to move around on the water.

Along with this size comes a load of options for carrying your equipment. On the top deck, there is a large tank well behind the seat, which has space for a cooler. Internal storage comes in the form of two hatches. The bow hatch is the larger of the two and both secure with a Quick Seal hatch cover, to keep your important gear safe and dry. The central Mod Pod II provides extra storage, for all those smaller items you need close at hand.

The ACS2 seat system is supportive and fully adjustable. The most important feature of any kayak is that you want to paddle it and with this seat, you’ll have all day comfort for fishing and paddling. Support Track foot rests are easy to adjust on the go, so you can always keep yourself in the most comfortable position.

Two flush mounted rod holders behind the seat make it easy to store and reach your rods on the go. The accessory plate has a transducer friendly scupper, so mounting a fish finder is a no-brainer. Around the outside of the hull there are gunnel mounted accessory tracks, so you can really pimp your ride.

A paddle holder and rod rest allows you to quickly change between fishing and kayaking without losing your gear. The set up is completed with carrying handles at the bow and stern, and on the sides.

Performance

The Trident 15 Angler is a long, narrow style kayak. It’s no surprise, then, to hear that it’s quick, it tracks really well in all sorts of conditions. This is a kayak which handles breaking surf, big swells and strong winds without a problem. It is also quite stable, considering the narrow profile.

As a fishing platform, the Trident 15 Angler provides all the space you could need to carry your equipment. The versatility is a big plus, too, with options to personalise your set up.

The only pitfall seems to be the weight. Moving this kayak around on land is no easy task, and storing it can be problematic.
