The Party Braaap is exactly the same as the Braaap 69 in every way but volume. It’s 8’11” (272cm) long and 24.5” (62cm) wide, keeping that slender and playful profile.

It weighs 44lbs (20kg), perfect for carrying to your favourite wave or remote rocky creek.

The paddler weight is even the same, at 100 – 220lbs (40 – 100kg). For anyone pushing the top end of this weight range who wants a bit more volume but an equally playful boat, maybe have a look at the Liquidlogic Mullet.

Features

The Party Braaap has the same front end as the Braaap 69, with enormous amounts of bow rocker and soft edges. This gives way to slalom kayak inspired stern rocker, a gentle rise which extends the waterline of the boat and ensures it carries momentum through the water. These features allow the Party Braaap to be paddled on even the most demanding water and it rolls easily and surfs well, the narrow profile making edge transition easy.

The back end is where this kayak differs from the Braaap 69. In order to make it more playful, Liquidlogic sucked out 2.5 gallons from the tail, leaving a concave design which catches the water perfectly for stern stalls and rock splats.

Internally, the Party Baraap has the Bad Ass outfitting found in all of Liquidlogic’s high end boats. This industry leading outfitting is comfortable and connective while also highly adjustable. Thigh braces, hip pads and a ratchet adjusted backrest give you optimal control as you play your way down the river.

The foot plate is available in a smaller size upon request, ideal for smaller profile paddlers to ensure they get the same level of connection as everyone else.

Two grab handles are fitted on the top deck for rescues and a drain bung is fitted at the stern.

Performance

The paddling community asked and Liquidlogic delivered. The original Braaap still has an enormous following, but for those who wanted something slightly more playful, the Party Braaap has answered their calling. The reduced volume stern is more engaging with the water and makes the Party Braap a rock splatting, stern squirting, surfing machine which is more than capable of sending it on huge waterfalls and the gnarliest white water in the world.
