Size, weight, capacity

At 11’2” (340 cm) long, this boat is noticeably quicker than its smaller counterpart, the Zydeco 9.0. With the V-shaped hull, it tracks very well, even in choppier conditions. At just 27.75” (70 cm) wide, there could be concerns that it might be a tight fit, but the increased deck height of 15” (38cm) means there is still loads of room for you to get comfortable.

With an extra-large cockpit area and the maximum capacity of 325 lb (147 kg), the Dagger Zydeco 11 has space for paddlers of all sizes and the kit they might want to take for a day, or night, on the water.

An 11’ boat doesn’t come without some extra weight, and at 48 lb (22 kg), it may be a difficult task to move or load this kayak onto your car on your own.

Features

This kayak is loaded with progressive features to make the paddler comfortable while giving them full control of the boat.

Starting with where you’ll sit in the boat, the Zydeco 11 has adjustable outfitting to allow you to fit the boat out to your dimensions. Not only does this make your time paddling much more comfortable, but improves the control you have over the boat as well as your balance. The padded seat and high backrest keep you well supported and comfortable as you paddle, while padding around the knees gives you extra connection to the boat. Fully adjustable footrests complete the outfitting and keep you firmly in the seat and in control of the kayak.

The rear of the Zydeco 11 has an enormous amount of storage space, accessed through the waterproof hatch. A waterproof bulkhead behind the seat stops any water from getting to your gear even in the event of a full submersion. This space is large enough to fit all your spare kit and food you may need for a day out, or alternatively some overnight camping kit if you’re going on a multi-day trip. Just make sure you don’t overload the boat!

Bungee on the top of the boat allows you to store kit that you need quick access to throughout the day, and comfortable, rubber grab handles at the front and rear of the boat mean you can move the kayak around easily as a pair.

Performance

The Zydeco 11 is a quick, highly maneuverable boat that can be comfortably paddled all day on flat water and slow-moving rivers. A slight v-shape in the hull enhances the tracking ability of this kayak without inhibiting how easily it can be moved around on the water. The adjustable outfitting allows paddlers to fit the Zydeco 11 to themselves perfectly, not just improving comfort but enhancing the control you have over the boat.
