The Zest Two EXP is a tandem kayak built for long days on the water. At 16 ft. 4.5 in. (5 m) long and 30.5 in. (77.5 cm) wide, this is a comfortable and stable kayak but one which covers the distance and maintains its straight course.

The capacity of 600 lbs. (272.16 kg) means you can make the most of the storage wells and take all the gear that makes an overnight trip more comfortable.

Such a large kayak is never going to be lightweight. The Zest Two EXP weighs 95 lbs. (43 kg), hard work even for two paddlers to lift and load onto a car top.

Features

The Zest Two EXP is designed as a simplistic, open style recreational expedition kayak with lots of easily accessible storage.

Bow storage is spacious and easy to access. You can secure bags and barrels here easily with the cross deck bungee. The stern storage well has space for a crate or a box and is also secured with bungee. Two optional hatches can be fitted to access internal areas and increase your options.

The two Comfort Plus seat systems are really comfortable and supportive. These can be fully adjusted to suit your desired position and the back system wraps around to support you laterally. Molded in footwells keep you firmly in position and give you the right posture to paddle efficiently.

Molded in cup holders give you beverage options and paddle holders mean you can enjoy your surroundings hands free.

Multiple grab handles and toggles around the kayak offer loads of options for lifting this boat onto the roof of your car. A skid plate on the underside protects the kayak and stops you worrying as you hit the beach.

Performance

The Zest Two EXP is designed to carry two adults and their touring equipment or overnight camping gear. The wide hull and lengthy waterline make this an extremely stable platform. The Zest Two EXP stays stable even if conditions start to get rough.

The waterline of the Zest Two EXP is just over 16 feet long, with a defined keel running almost the entire length. This keeps the kayak tracking efficiently in challenging conditions. Once the kayak is up to cruising speed it carries speed efficiently, so you don’t tire as you tour your local lake.

While it might not be stacked with features, this is an open style, simplistic tandem boat. It’s a recreational touring kayak with an enormous capacity and plenty of open storage. Keeping things simple can sometimes be the most effective way.
