Size, weight, capacity
The Remix series is available in three sizes; 59, 69 and 79.
The 59 is 8’5” (257cm) long and 25” (64cm) wide, weighs 43lbs (19kg) and has a paddler weight range of 100 – 180lbs (45 – 82kg).
The 69 is the most commonly paddled of the range, fitting a wide range of medium build paddlers. At 8’8” (264cm) long and 25.5” (65cm) wide it’s a stable and speedy platform. It weighs 44lbs (20kg) and has a paddler weight range of 140 – 220lbs (64 – 100kg).
At the larger end is the Remix 79 at 8’11” (272cm) and 26.5” (67cm) wide. It weighs 46lbs (21kg) and has a paddler weight range of 170 – 260lbs (77 – 118kg).
The Remix series was one of the most progressive designs when it was first aired and has remained at the forefront of white water since. The width and stability of the boat, combined with soft edges and progressive chines makes this boat extremely forgiving in some of the wildest white water.
The steady rocker profile front and back allows it to ride over features and holes but retain an element of tracking to stay on line and punch through larger waves.
As with all of Liquidlogic’s white water boats, the Remix series is fitted with the Bad Ass outfitting, the most comfortable seating system on the market. Highly adjustable and extremely connective, this outfitting allows you to drive the boat around the river and make tight, technical moves on the most demanding creeks.
Liquidlogic offer a smaller bulkhead footplate for the smaller framed paddler upon request.
It feels like the Remix series has been around for ages without needing to change much at all. The reliable and advanced design has stood up to the years of use and has performed in so many varied environments that it’s hard to think of a more universally capable white water kayak.
This boat has taken many people on their first river trips and is a confidence inspiring beginner platform to learn in. At the opposite end of the scale, the Remix has run some of the largest white water in the world and been used on hundreds of white water expeditions.
This is a river runner that can do it all. It carves seamlessly across the river and surfs waves with speed and smooth edge transitions. It rolls easily, punches through features, boofs over drops and holes and resurfaces easily. Even if you’re a bit off your line, the Remix is forgiving enough that you can still make it down the rapid comfortably.
