The Bass 100 is 10 ft. (305 cm) long and 35.5 in. (85 cm) wide. The extra width works with the planing hull design to give you loads of stability, so you can stand and fish with confidence.

The base weight of the Bass 100 is 77 lbs. (35 kg). This is not the easiest kayak to rooftop or load into the back of a truck on your own.

A capacity of 400 lbs. (181 kg) could be a little limiting once you’ve installed a motor and loaded up all your gear. For reference, a Suzuki DF 2.5 HP outboard motor weighs around 28 lbs without gas, while an electric trolling motor with battery can tip the scales at 50 lb or even more.

However, for most medium-sized anglers with a reasonable amount of gear, it should be enough to feel comfortable and stable on the water.

Features

The Bass 100 has a stable planing hull which is easy to move around on the water even when you’re paddling. When being used with an outboard motor, this hull can pick up some serious speed and get you to your favorite fishing spot fast. The transom on the rear can be fitted with motors or a rudder, depending on your need.

The EZ Rider seating is lightweight and supportive and can be adjusted forward and backwards, as well as being height adjustable. Adjustable foot pegs keep you upright in the seat so you stay comfortable. Standing pads in the centre of the kayak let you stand to fish without slipping.

There’s no shortage of storage and accessories in the Bass 100. For your rods, there are deck mounted holders and tip protectors, as well as flush mounted holders behind the seat. Bass 100 has a removable sonar and electronics pod at the bow, and accessory tracks along the gunwale for other equipment. An oversized tank well secured with bungee, at the rear of the kayak, completes the storage.

Handles at the bow and stern, as well as the sides, make it easy enough to carry this kayak, despite how heavy it is.

Performance

The Jonny Boats Bass 100 is a versatile, stable fishing platform which has loads of options for storage and accessories. The comfortable and adjustable seating system gives you all day comfort on the water while the standing pads let you stand and fish without slipping.

The negatives really center around weight. Firstly, this is a relatively heavy kayak and won’t be easy to move around on the land even without all of your fishing kit on board. Secondly, the capacity isn’t enormous and you might find that if you’re getting a little overloaded, the planing hull drags rather than cruises.
