Size, weight, capacity

The Malibu series comes in a selection of sizes. The 11.5 is 11 ft. 5 in. (3.5 m) long and 31 in. (78.7 cm) wide. The balance between the length and width of the hull gives the Malibu 11.5 speed and stability when it counts.

At 59 lbs. (26.7 kg), it’s unlikely you’ll be solo loading the Malibu 11.5 on the roof of your car, but if you get a friend to help, it’s relatively lightweight. The stackable design makes storage easy, too.

The capacity of the Malibu 11.5 is 360 lbs. (163.3 kg), which should be enough even for larger paddlers and a reasonable amount of gear.

Features

The features of the Malibu 11.5 might be recreational, but they’re far from basic. The seating system is molded into the hull itself, then covered with the Air Go seat pad, which is comfortable and contorts to your body. The backrest system is supportive and adjustable to keep you out on the water for as long as possible.

Just ahead of the seat is a splash resistant hatch, ideal for storing equipment that you need to hand. This hatch is not waterproof, but will keep your gear safe and within reach when you need it. There are also open tank wells at the bow and stern of the kayak. These are secured with bungee and are deep enough to store quite a lot of gear.

Molded-in foot wells, complete with calf rest, heighten your comfort and connection even more, so you get full control.

Molded-n paddle rests and cup holders set this kayak apart as a real recreational luxury. Grab handles on the sides of the Malibu and bow and stern toggles make it easy to stack and store your kayaks, while a rear locking bar allows you to secure them, too.
