Size and Weight

The Native Falcon 11 derives its name from the short, compact design. With an overall length of 11’ (335 cm) and a width of 32.5” (82.5 cm), this kayak is small enough to be car topped or easily fit into the bed of a pickup truck. It tips the scales at just 55 lbs (24.9 kg). As one of the lightest kayaks made by Native, the Falcon 11 is also considered to be an ideal kayak for kids or young adults, as well as seasoned anglers who prefer a lighter, more compact premium fishing kayak.

Capacity

As you might expect, the lightweight Falcon 11 doesn’t boast as much of a capacity as some of the other Native fishing kayaks. With a full capacity of 320 lbs (145 kg), most anglers should still be able to fit all of their gear, as well as any electronic equipment they want to carry along.

Features

The Falcon 11 is small in stature, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t equipped with some of the best features that Native has become well-known for. One of the most important components to any premium fishing kayak is a comfortable seat that anglers can sit in all day long and never feel like they’ll pay for it the next day with a sore back.

The Falcon 11 features a seat that offers hand sewn padding that’s fitted to a sturdy metal frame which can be adjusted into a high or low position depending on each user’s preference. There is also ample storage space underneath the seat where anglers can stash multiple tackle trays, as well as other gear or even snacks for all-day fishing adventures.

The bow is fitted with an oversized dry storage hatch that’s perfect for keeping personal floatation devices, extra tackle, rain gear, or anything else an angler might deem necessary on a fishing trip.

The center console functions as another, smaller dry storage compartment, but also offers anglers with a transducer access scupper where users can easily run cables through and store a battery. There is a cup holder molded into the center console cover where users can place their favorite beverage.

Like most other Native kayaks, the cockpit area deck is fitted with non-slip padding that makes standing up even more comfortable and stable. Users will also find long gear tracks on either side of the cockpit that are great for placing electronic displays, rod holders, paddle holders, camera gear and other items.

Users can adjust the leg-room using the foot pegs on either side of the cockpit area.

Behind the seat are two flush-mounted rod holders as well as a large open storage well that’s perfect for coolers, crates, and more. The storage well is fitted with bungee cords that will keep any gear items safe and secure while anglers are on the water.

With so many features packed into a small, lightweight kayak, it’s easy to see the high value of the Falcon 11, which is priced at just $800.

Performance

The Falcon 11’s hull design is geared toward stability, but also offers an exceptional fast paddling experience when compared to other kayaks of similar size and dimensions. Users report that the kayak has excellent stability both sitting in the high and low positions, as well as standing. It is commonly reported that the Falcon 11 can be windblown quite easily, but it otherwise offers good tracking and speed, especially when one considers that it’s only 11’ in length. The shorter body also provides users with a more agile kayak that can be taken farther into shallow waters and tight spaces where other, larger fishing kayaks aren’t capable of traveling.
