Advanced Elements Lagoon 1 may look like a simple, no-frills recreational kayak, but there’s more under the surface than meets the eye. A rigid bow and stern keep the Lagoon 1 tracking straight through the water. The rigid tube covers stiffen this kayak and give you full control of your ride.

Description
Size, Weight, Capacity
The Lagoon 1 is 8 ft. 4 in. (254 cm) long. The majority of the boat’s length is in front of the paddler to maximise legroom and comfort. At 34 in. (87 cm) wide, this is one stable, easy to paddle kayak.
The Lagoon 1 is all about ease of use. Nothing makes your life easier than having a kayak which you can carry to and from the water without thinking. At just 22 lbs (10 kg), you can throw this kayak in the trunk and carry it easily to the lake at the other end. You can even take the Lagoon 1 with you on the bus.
A maximum capacity of 249 lbs. (113 kg) doesn’t give the Lagoon 1 the biggest range for paddlers, but there’s still enough space for most small to mid-sized adults and some equipment.
Features
Advanced Elements Lagoon 1 is a sit-in style inflatable kayak. Though recreational, it still has a ton of features that make this a great kayak. Inner tube covers add stiffness and abrasion protection, so you can paddle more and worry less. The rip-stop fabric and landing plate give you peace of mind as you hit the beach or bounce over a rock.
Rigid bow and stern give the Lagoon 1 greatly improved tracking, so you can still enjoy kayaking in windy conditions. The tracking fin at the rear makes this even better and also prevents you drifting downwind.
The seat is comfortable and supportive, and the foam floor lets you rest your legs without rubbing, so you can stay on the water for hours at a time.
A small mesh pocket and some bungee on the top deck provide storage for all those things you need access to as you paddle. A raised section around the cockpit rim prevents splashes soaking you, so you get a dryer ride.
Performance
The Advanced Elements Lagoon 1 ticks a lot of boxes when it comes to recreational kayaking. This is a kayak which is quick and easy to set up, so you can be on the water without wasting time. The compact, lightweight design makes it really easy to store and transport this kayak.
On the water, the Lagoon 1 performs well on the calm rivers and lakes it’s designed for. The short stature and lightweight design means it isn’t likely to win any races and the tracking may come undone in stronger winds. But ultimately this is a kayak for calm days of enjoyable paddling.
Beginners will appreciate how stable and easy to paddle the Lagoon 1 is. The seat design and comfortable cockpit mean you can be on the water all day.
