Durability
Bathtub floor
The Ozark Trail 8-Person Dome Tunnel Tent floor is constructed from Polyethylene and is not a bathtub-style tent floor. This may lead to water seeping into the tent via the seams. We recommend the use of a tarp underneath the tent in wet weather and the use of additional seam sealer on the interior seams before the first camping trip.
Poles
There are four long hollow fiberglass poles; One Main Pole, Two Side Poles, and one Ridge Pole. Each long pole is created from multiple smaller poles that are connected with interior elastic ropes.
Ease of Use

How to Set Up the Ozark Trail 8-Person Dome Tunnel Tent
- Unpack the tent, spread it out on level ground with the floor side down, and unzip the tent.
- Stake the four corners of the tent and adjust the tent stakes so that the tent is tight.
- Extend all four tent poles and select the longest tent pole. The longest pole is the Main Pole.
- Slide the Main Pole (A) through the sleeves attached to the exterior of the tent at the center of the tent. Leave an equal amount of pole on each side of the sleeve.
- Slide the Side Poles (B) through the tent pole sleeves at the front and rear of the tent. Leave an equal amount of pole on each side of the sleeve.
- Slide the Ridge Pole (C) through the loop at the center of the tent roof. The pole should run over the top of the Center and Side poles.
- Connect the Ridge Pole into the connection pockets located about the center of each door.
- Connect the connection points on the tent ridge to the center point
- One person will raise the interior center of the tent and the second person will connect the ends of the Main pole to the pins on each side of the tent after the tent has been lifted up.
- Repeat the process for the side poles.
- Optional-Install the rainfly by draping the rainfly over the tent and connecting it to the base of the tent with the pre-attached “S” hooks.
