Doors and Vestibules

There are two hanging storage pockets located in each exterior room and one large hanging storage pocket in the common area. There is a single hanging adjustable media pouch for group viewing of your favorite electronic device. Most campers tend to have far fewer people residing in the tent instead of the maximum capacity the manufacturer suggests. This maximizes the space for everyone. Breathability and Ventilation

Weather Resistance

Wind resistance

If you’re going to camp in windy conditions, we recommend trying to situate the tent between natural windbreaks, such as large rocks or trees. Do look “up” for potential widowmakers before you claim your tent site.
Rain resistance
The Ozark Trail 16-Person Cabin Tent with 2 Removable Room Dividers is manufactured from a 185 thread count water-resistant recycled polyester. The moisture ratings are 600mm for Hydrostatic Head water resistance, which we think is a bit light. You’ll want to treat the main tent body with a water repellant before you head out for your Glamping adventure.
The main body tent seams aren’t taped, so we also recommend that you seal them too.
Rainfly
The removable rainfly seams were taped for water resistance at the factory. The rainfly covers the tent ceiling but offers minimal drip protection for the windows.
Durability
The Ozark Trail 16-Person Cabin Tent with 2 Removable Room Dividers has quite a few user reviews indicating that the tent poles snapped, shattered, or frayed. If the durability and robustness of a tent are the single most important features to you, this tent may not be the best choice for you.
Tent Floor
The seams are double sewn on the Polyethylene floor material transition seams. We’d recommend an additional layer of protection between the tent and the ground.
Poles

Ease of Use

How to Set up the Ozark Trail 16-Person Cabin Tent with 2 Removable Room Dividers
- Place the tent on the ground and stretch it out. Orient the tent entrance to your preference.
- Stake the tent stake loops down at the six corners of the tent
- Extend the pre-connected poles.
- The three poles of equal length are the main roof poles. Insert them through the blue pole sleeves at the center of the top of the tent.
- Gently flex the fiberglass poles and insert them into the eaves joints
- Thread the eave poles through the grey sleeves on the edge of the tent
- Insert the eave poles into all six of the eave joints
- Insert the end of one of the steel poles into the opening at the eave plastic connection hub and connect, place the other end of the pole into the corresponding pin at the base of the tent. Repeat the process on the remaining five steel poles.
- Locate the blue poles sleeves and insert the side room poles through them.
- Flex the poles into an arch and connect them at the base of the tent. Click the plastic hooks onto the frame.
- Insert the front entry fiberglass poles through the grey sleeve
- Slide the Factory bent steel entry upright poles onto the front entry point at the base of the entryway. Repeat on the other side of the tent.
- Drape the rainfly over the primary tent entrance and then extend it over the entire tent ceiling. The grey edge of the rainfly should be aligned with the grey edge of the Primary Entrance doorway.
- Connect the rainfly to the tent with the pre-attached Velcro straps. The rainfly has preattached Guy lines that should be extended and staked into the ground.
