Color coded poles remove the stress and guesswork concerning tent assembly and promptly have you well on the way to relaxation.
Laid out in an oblong shape, the NTK Arizona GT combines the benefits of a dome tent and a tunnel tent into a spacious, multifunctional, rain-resistant tent.
Comfort and Space
Floor Space
The NTK Arizona GT’s overall layout is 20′ 3″ x 10′ 2″ (617 x 310 cm). The oblong-shaped tent offers plenty of relaxation space for you and eleven fellow campers. A detachable room divider allows privacy between each end of the tent or a separate vestibule for gear storage.
Primary Sleeping room
Located at the rear of the tent, the zone next to the rear entrance door is best suited as the primary sleeping location. A space of 9′ 10″ x 10′ 2″ (300 x 310 cm), equaling 100 ft² (9.3 m²), allows for the placement of two air mattresses or multiple sleeping bags.
Screened room
The screened room is situated in the front of the tent and is approximately 3′ 11″ x 10′ 2″ (119 x 310 cm), equaling 39.7 ft² (3.7 m²). A secondary entrance is on the side wall.
The screened room offers different layout possibilities; dining and relaxation with chairs and a table, a wildlife viewing hub, gear storage, or a cooking room.
At night the screened room may be converted into additional sleeping quarters.
Front Vestibule
The front vestibule is situated at the front of the tent. It is approximately 3′ 1″ x 10′ 2″ (94 x 310 cm), equaling 31.4 ft² (2.9 m²). If you’re using the Screened Room for gear storage, this area is a good location for wet gear storage.
Rear Vestibule
The rear vestibule is located next to the primary sleeping room. The rear vestibule is approximately 3′ 5″ x 10′ 2″ (104 x 310 cm), equaling 34.7 ft² (3.2 m²). The rear vestibule is an excellent location to place shoes, jackets, and other dry gear.
Total floor space
The entire floor space of the tent’s interior is 139.7 ft² (19.1 m²). The total floor space of vestibules is 68.8 ft² (6.4 m²).
Six adults can fit comfortably into the tent if you plan to use queen-sized air mattresses. Eight adults can fit somewhat comfortably if you don’t mind being very close.
The most common use for this tent style is family or friends camping, emphasizing maximizing personal interior space rather than filling the tent to the brim with campers.
Head Room
The tent is a Dome style tent in the primary sleeping area with an interior peak height of 6′ 10″ (208 cm). The screened room part of the NTK Arizona GT is laid out as a tunnel tent and has a peak height of approximately 6′ (183 cm). As tall campers ourselves, we appreciate the headroom!
Doors and Vestibules
The NTK Arizona GT tent has two doors and two vestibules. Engaging the interior room divider will allow two different sets of campers to use independent entry and exit doorways.
The primary entrance is located adjacent to the primary sleeping compartment. The secondary entrance is in the screened room area. Each doorway is “D” shaped and is approximately 5′ 6″ x 3′ (168 x 91 cm).
The NTK Arizona GT tent has a front and rear vestibule. We recommend the front vestibule for wet gear and the rear vestibule for dry gear.
Storage
The NTK Arizona GT offers a number of storage options. These include:
- Four ground-accessible two-section hanging pockets. A pocket is located in each exterior sleeping room.
- Two hanging, two sectional gear pockets in the primary sleeping area.
- One gear loft in the center of the primary sleeping area that’s ideal for small, lightweight items.
- A hanging loop beneath the gear loft is perfect for a hanging lantern.
If you opt to use the Screened Room as a storage space, you’ll find that you have a massive amount of gear storage space.
Breathability and Ventilation
The rainfly may be removed entirely to allow ventilation via the No-See-Um mesh side panels or partially rolled back to allow for airflow through the screened room side window panels. Nine window panels and two different door windows provide cross ventilation.
Ventilation ports allow airflow when the rainfly is fully engaged, and the windows are closed.
Ventilation Features
Center windows
The Primary Sleeping area in the center of the tent has two side panel windows that may be opened or closed via the rainfly from the outside of the tent. If the rainfly is removed or the rainfly rolled up above the windows, the windows are “open.”
Exterior side windows
There are two mesh windows that are located in the tent’s side panels. Each trapezoid-shaped window is approximately 3′ x 4′ x 3′ ( 91 x 120 x 91 cm), which equates to a 10′ 5″ (318 cm) individual window area.
Each window has an interior zippable flap to allow cross ventilation through the tent.
Exterior Doorways
Two exterior doorways contain no-see-um mesh windows that are approximately 3′ x 3′ (91 x 91 cm) in size. The entire doorway may be tied back, or each doorway window may be zippered open to allow cross ventilation.
Ceiling
The entire rainfly may be removed to allow additional airflow.
Weather Resistance
The NTK Arizona GT Tent offers a great deal of weather resistance. It has excellent field-tested weather reviews.
Wind Resistance
The combination of a tunnel tent and a dome tent is a good option for weather resistance. You’ll have the wind resistance of a dome tent combined with the spaciousness of a tunnel tent.
In any case, it is important that you stake out your tent according to the NTK recommendations. If you’re camping in wet and rainy shoulder seasons, we recommend beefing up the stakes to something more hearty.
Rain Resistance
The NTK Arizona GT is manufactured from 68D, 190 thread count Polyester Taffeta. The polyester was treated with polyurethane and has a water resistance rating of 2500HH.
We appreciate the higher water resistance values. The 2500HH value is nearly triple the water resistance ratings of similar-sized tents from other manufacturing companies.
Rainfly
The removable rainfly almost reaches the ground. The rainfly may be detached and extended above the windows and primary entrance to offer moisture protection and maximum ventilation in wet weather.
Windows
We’d prefer that there was a way to close the side panel windows for privacy from the inside of the tent. The doorway windows may be zippered open and closed from the tent’s interior.
Durability
NTK offers a lifetime warranty on any poles that break due to wind stress. Other similarly priced and sized tents from other manufacturers have many online reviews about tent pole shattering and their difficulties in obtaining replacement poles.
Tent Floor
The bathtub-style tent floor is constructed from heavy-duty, seamless polyethylene. We do recommend a ground cover to provide an extra level of rock and stick protection.
Poles
The NTK Arizona GT Tent has five fiberglass poles that are color-coded and preconnected.
Ease of Use
User reviews indicate that setup can be arduous for a single camper due to the tunnel configuration. Bring a friend!
How to Set up the NTK Arizona GT Tent
- Place the tent on the ground and stretch it out.
- Close the door zippers to block airflow as you raise the tent.

- Stake the tent with the pegs at a 45-degree angle
- Attach the rainfly and stake it to the ground.
- Tighten, but don’t over-tighten the guy lines.
Packed Size and Weight
The NTK Arizona GT Tent weighs 39.77 lbs (18 kg) and has a packed size of 28″ x 14″ x 13″ (71 x 36 x 33 cm). This is pretty decent for such a large tent.
