Eureka Space Camp 6 Person Tent is a 3 seasons tent, featuring aluminum poles, a full-coverage fly, storage compartments, gear lofts, and a simple setup.
The Eureka Space Camp 4 Person Tent is an extremely simple to use, economical two-door cabin tent that is designed for three seasons for a casual camping or car camping adventure.
Comfort and Space
The floor space of the Eureka Space Camp 4 Person Tent is 96 in x 90 in / 243.8 x 228.6 cm which gives a total area of 56 square feet / 5.2 sq m.
That gives plenty of room and shoulder space for 4 campers, unlike other 4-person tents that are marketed as such but really mean 4 small people or 3 people and a dog!Â
The peak height of this cabin tent is a generous 68 in / 172.7 cm, making it possible for smaller campers to stand up and change in; a real bonus!Â
This tent’s walls are practically vertical, providing a spacious interior. This offers you considerably more headspace at the sides of the tent, making it feel much more extensive and having a larger sleeping area, making the tent perfect for families.

Cabin tents are ideal for family camping or casual camping since they are very roomy, have a plethora of family-friendly features, and often provide excellent value for money.
Their near-vertical walls offer more interior space than other types of tents but cabin tents are also heavier and bulkier than dome tents, making them more suitable for car camping as opposed to backpacking.
The Eureka Space Camp 4 Person Tent features one room, two wide doors, and two vestibules that keep the tent entryway dry while also providing additional storage space for equipment.
The tent contains 2 gear lofts and 10 pockets to keep everyone organized, effectively keeping all the gear messily strewn all over the floor, especially by kids! In addition, the convenient pockets make it easy to get to your stuff without disrupting other campers, especially at nights when you’re looking for a phone or headlamp.
The gear loft effortlessly attaches to the clothesline hooks sewn into the canopy of your tent.
Breathability and Ventilation
This tent features 3 vents, which are sufficient for adequate ventilation. The Air Exchange System with high and low venting is fully adjustable, allowing you to select the best airflow according to the weather conditions.
The 40D no-see-um mesh panels breathe well and maintain air circulation while keeping bugs out. A full-covered rainfly protects the tent from wet weather. Leave the rainfly down for maximum ventilation and open the doors in good weather!
Weather Resistance
The 7000 series aluminum frame is tough, resilient, and built to withstand bad weather. Additional stakes and guylines are provided for support during harsh winds. However, like all cabin tents, this one isn’t the most aerodynamic and we certainly wouldn’t want to test it in a serious storm.
The rainfly is waterproof to 1500mm covering the entire body of the tent from top to bottom. Even in heavy rain, the interior stays dry.
Durability
The inner walls, rainfly, and floor of this cabin tent are made of 68D 185T polyester taffeta material with a waterproof rating of floor and rainfly being 1800mm and 1500mm respectively.
The tent comes with four 7000-Series aluminum poles with dimensions of 8.5mm and 13mm.
Typically, tent poles serve as the framework that serves to support the entire design, and the sole need is that they are made of high-strength material. Enter aluminum poles.
Despite their lightness, these poles are extremely sturdy, which is why they are used in most high-end tents. The majority of aluminum poles will withstand any excessive tension induced by overburdening the tent, severe winds, or snow.
Packed Size and Weight
The packed size of the Eureka Space Camp 4-Person Tent is 8 x 25 inches / (21 x 63 cm and the weight is 13 lbs. 14.4 oz / 5.96 kg. That’s not something you haul on a multi-day backpacking trip.
However, for the car camping trip or weekend jaunt to a nearby campground, this tent will do just fine.
This tent weighs way less than the NEMO Wagontop 4P 3 Season Camping Tent weighing 9.02 kilograms and the ALPS Mountaineering Camp Creek 4 Person Tent which weighs 9.07 kilograms. So if you need to haul a tent, the Eureka Space Camp is a better choice.
Ease of Use
With clear, concise instructions and color-marked sleeves, the Eureka Space Camp 4-person tent can be easily set up by one person. Some of the shorter campers might struggle to get the tent’s rainfly set up because of the high interior height.
- Step 1: First, assemble the body.
- Step 2: Then, assemble the two heavy-duty pre-bent poles which are the main poles, and two smaller straight ones which are the ridge poles.
- Step 3: Insert the main poles into the grey pole sleeves and stick the ends into the grommets.
- Step 4: Then slide the thinner straight poles into the blue sleeve.
- Step 5: Spread the rainfly over the tent and match the color buckles accordingly.
- Step 6: Attach the fly to the tent with the buckles and the hook and loop fasteners.
- Step 7: Stake out the vestibules, and you’re done!
