The integrated lights make it easy to find your way around in the dark, and the three modes allow you to choose the right amount of light for your needs.

Comfort and Space

If you are looking for a tent that comfortably sleeps up to six people and fits two queen-sized air mattresses then the Coleman Elite Sundome 6-Person Lighted Tent might be a great option for you. The tent is lightweight and easy to set up, making it an excellent option for car camping. The tent also features a built-in LED light to enjoy your campfire without sacrificing your night vision.

Floor Space

The Coleman Elite Sundome 6-Person Lighted Tent has a total floor size of 12′ x 10′ (3.66 m x 3.05 m), which is 120 square feet (11.15 sq m). This is generally large enough for 6 campers when sleeping on floor pads. However, if you want to store your gear in the tent, there would typically not be enough space.

When storing your gear, the tent is recommended to sleep up to 5 adults or 2 adults and 4 children, which makes this tent the perfect size to sleep for a small family or group of friends.

Head/Shoulder Room

The Coleman Sundome Tent makes camping more enjoyable for taller folks! The peak height is 72 inches (182.9 cm), so you will not have to worry about bumping your head on the roof.

When the integrated light is fully installed, it does hang a few inches lower in the center. However, there should still be enough room to walk around comfortably. There is also enough shoulder space for everyone to sit up at night and read using the integrated light.

Rooms/Vestibules

The Coleman Elite Sundome 6-Person Lighted Tent is the perfect tent for your next camping trip. It has a LED lighting system that provides bright, overhead illumination, making it easy to find your way around in the dark. The nightlight mode is excellent for helping your little ones drift off to sleep.

The CPX 6 compatible power system means you can use batteries or the included AC adapter to power the lights. The runtime is 26 hours on high, 65 hours on low, and 81 hours on nightlight mode. The E-Port makes it easy to bring electrical power inside your tent, so you can charge your phone or other devices while camping.

The 2-room design means you can separate the sleeping area from the living area, giving you more privacy. With the 2-room design, you can also have the kids in one room and the adults in the other room.

Even with all of these features, the Coleman Elite Sundome 6-Person Lighted Tent is easy to set up and take down, so you can enjoy your camping trip without hassle.

Breathability and Ventilation

The full mesh on 2 sides of the Coleman Elite Sundome 6-Person Lighted Tent allows for excellent ventilation and views.

This tent features two windows so you can easily control how much fresh air you are letting in. While the auto-roll window makes it easy to let in the fresh air.

Weather Resistance

If you are looking for a tent that can withstand rain and keep you dry, then the Coleman Elite Sundome 6-Person Lighted Tent is one to consider. This tough little tent is designed to withstand 35 MPH winds, thanks to the WeatherTec system.

The tub floor is made with patented corner welds and protected seams to help keep water out, even when the ground is wet. Plus, the covered zipper adds an extra layer of protection against the elements.

The tent also features a door awning and an included rainfly, ensuring you have plenty of ventilation even when it rains.

Durability

The Coleman Elite Sundome 6-Person Lighted Tent is made from polyester taffeta 75D flysheet, the inner tent is made of 68D polyester mesh, and the floor is made of 1,000D polyethylene. Combined, these materials make for a waterproof, durable tent.

The poles are 11mm fiberglass, making the whole structure sturdy and durable. Fiberglass tent poles are strong and lightweight. However, they do have some drawbacks.

First, the fiberglass makes the poles not very flexible, so they are more likely to break if bent or damaged. Secondly, they are not very good at conducting heat, so that they can become quite cold in cold weather. Finally, fiberglass is a very brittle material, so it is susceptible to shattering if it is dropped or hit too hard. However, fiberglass is a great budget pole and can withstand quite a bit.

Ease of Use

The Coleman Elite Sundome 6-Person Lighted Tent has many great features that make it easy to use. The tent features a patented pin-and-ring system that helps keep the corner pole connections from slipping, and it has snag-free continuous pole sleeves that make the setup a snap. The durable, Polyguard fabric is made to last season after season, and the easy setup means you will be able to enjoy your camping trip in no time.

The tent has an external frame making it easier to pitch and put away. The tent is easy to set up and, with two people, can be set up in less than 10 minutes.

Packed Size and Weight

The Coleman Elite Sundome 6-Person Lighted Tent has a packed size of 30″ x 11″ x 10″ (76.2 cm x 27.9 cm x 25.4 cm) and a weight of 24 pounds ( 10.89 kg).

It can be challenging to know which tent is best for you. There are so many different types of tents on the markets nowadays. The better option is Coleman Elite Sundome 6-Person Lighted Tent or the Ozark Trail 6-Person Instant Cabin Tent with LED lighted hub. Both have pros and cons, so it depends on what you are looking for in a tent.

The Coleman Elite Sundome has better ventilation, with large windows and mesh walls. It also comes with an LED light for easy nighttime camping. However, the Ozark Trail 6-Person Instant Cabin Tent is easier to set up thanks to its pre-attached poles and also comes with a LED light built into the hub.

So which one is right for you? It all depends on your needs. But either way, you are sure to enjoy spending time in the great outdoors.
