Description

Werner Skagit is a great value option for those on a budget, but who still want a high quality, low angle touring paddle. The fiberglass reinforced, nylon blades give you a light swing and recovery, but are durable and wear resistant. These blades are mid-sized and have been designed utilising top end blade technology from Werner company.

The selection of shaft options are all available in small, or standard sizes. The adjustable straight shaft uses the solid lever-lock system, while the split paddles use the Smart View adjustable ferrule. Both of these are solid and dependable systems which can be easily adjusted on the water and allow you to alter your feather quickly.

The Skagit is one of the most popular recreational paddles worldwide. The low angle, elongated blades and relaxed feel make it a great choice for those looking to take the step from pure recreation, to longer day touring trips or even overnight adventures. It’s an easy to use, approachable paddle which also makes a great spare for long trips.

For a stiffer paddle on a similar budget, look at the Skagit CF. Carbon reinforced nylon blades are slightly lighter and stiffer than the fiberglass options, giving you increased responsiveness at a slightly higher price.
