Size, weight, capacity

The Versa board LL is 12’3” (373cm) long and 33” (84cm) wide, a stable platform with enough length to track effectively on open water.

Weighing in at 58lbs (26kg), it may be difficult to load and unload this board from a vehicle, but the addition of the portage wheel at the stern makes it possible to move it alone.

Maximum paddler weight is 300lbs (136kg).

Features

The Versa board is primarily a stand up paddleboard and this is apparent from the standing pads which are made of grippy closed cell foam. More foam forms a seating position when this is used as a sit-on-top kayak, while moulded footwells allow you to drive the kayak through the water and keep yourself upright. For those likely to be using this regularly as a sit-on-top, a high backed padded seat can be purchased as an extra.

Bungee at the bow and stern of the Versa Board allows you to secure your kit while on the water. For those smaller items you would like to keep dry there is a small watertight storage hatch at the rear.

A spring loaded skeg system at the rear of the board makes the board track effectively through open water, even in rough conditions. This is aided by the pronounced keel line which runs the length of the board, deep enough to aid tracking but shallow enough that it won’t catch on your way down a river.

A portage wheel makes it possible to move the boat to the water on your own.

The enormous width and stability of the board makes it perfect for a wide range of paddlers and makes it possible to take kit with you for long days on the water or light overnight trips.

The length of the board and the spring loaded skeg make it a great touring option, too. It can cover long distances and carry speed effectively, even in some rough conditions. The grippy foam under your feet allows you to drive the board more effectively and keep your footing when things get choppy.
