Solo Kayaks

BKC RA220

RA220

Length: 11 ft. 6 in. / 350 cm
Width: 34 in. / 86 cm
Weight: 68 lbs. / 31 kg
Capacity: 550 lbs. / 249 kg

RA220 has everything an angler needs for a successful and relaxing day out on the water. This starts with a hull that is designed for calmer conditions but has enough rocker and keel to cope with some choppy water. The RA220 has an enormous 550 lbs. capacity. The kayak offers enough space for an adult and as much fishing equipment as they want to take on the water.

To make the most of this capacity, BKC RA220 has four large storage areas. Three water-resistant hatches give you space to put small items such as phones, snacks, and spare clothing. The large storage well at the rear of the RA220 fits crates and buckets and these are secured with a shock cord.

BKC RA220 comes with a high-backed, adjustable, framed aluminum seat. The adjustable footpegs control the rudder to help you negotiate obstacles or track through choppy water.

RA220 also has a fish finder recess in the hull. There are two rod holders, as well as paddle storage for while you fish. The RA220 is stable enough that you can stand and cast without fear of capsizing.

BKC FK184

FK184

Length: 9 ft. / 274 cm
Width: 32 in. / 81 cm
Weight: 44 lbs. / 20 kg
Capacity: 330 lbs. / 150 kg

BKC FK184 balances length, width, and weight to give a solo fishing kayak that is capable in varied conditions. This is Brooklyn Kayak Company’s lightest solo sit-on-top kayak and is the easiest to load onto the roof of a car. The kayak is short enough for easy storage.

Despite its length, FK184 tracks decently well in light winds and can cover the ground between fishing spots. The memory foam seat has a high backrest that can be adjusted to make sure you can stay comfortable on long days out on the water. The footwells are molded. We would prefer adjustable footrests as they make it easier to find an optimal paddling position.

Two large water-resistant storage hatches on the FK184 provide space for important items. The storage well at the rear is large enough for crates or buckets and has some bungee to keep your gear in place.

BKC FK184 has a maximum capacity of 330 lbs (150 kg), which is pretty limited for a fishing kayak. If you like to carry a lot of equipment, it’s not the best boat for you.

Three rod holders, including one articulated holder, let you either trawl lines as you paddle or keep your setup close to hand on the water. As you fish, you can make use of the paddle holders by the side grab handles. This way you can keep your paddle close by without the risk of losing it over the side of your kayak.

BKC FK285

FK285

Length: 9 ft. 2 in. / 279 cm
Width: 32 in. / 81 cm
Weight: 50 lbs. / 23 kg
Capacity: 350 lbs. / 159 kg

FK285 is a small fishing-ready kayak. The hull features a defined keel line with a wide and stable profile. This makes the FK285 suitable for a range of water types, whether you’re cruising downriver or finding your perfect fishing spot on your local lake.

The FK285 comes with two flush-mounted rod holders behind the seat, as well as an articulated holder in front of the seat. The seat itself is aluminum framed and adjustable, keeping you comfortable out on the water. Adjustable footpegs keep you in the seat and engaged as you paddle.

Two large water-resistant storage hatches let you keep important equipment out of the elements. For larger items like crates or buckets, there is a storage well at the rear. You can secure your gear stored in this with the shock cord over the top.

Accessory track along the edges of the FK285 gives you the freedom to personalize your ride with GPS, fish finders, or extra rod holders. The side handles are fitted with paddle storage bungee so you can go hands-free without losing your paddle.

BKC FK13

FK13

Length: 12 ft. 11.5 in. / 395 cm
Width: 33.5 in. / 85 cm
Weight: 77 lbs. / 35 kg
Capacity: 550 lbs. / 249 kg

At just under 13 feet, the FK13 is the longest solo sit-on-top kayak in the Brooklyn Kayak Company range. With a defined keel line and gentle edges, BKC FK13 will cruise between fishing spots and remain stable as you haul in your catch. The bow is designed to cut through waves and wind, so you can get to your favorite spot even if the weather isn’t ideal.

With 550 lbs. maximum capacity, you can carry all of your gear without worrying about overloading the FK13. A large hatch at the bow offers water-resistant storage space, with a smaller hatch at the rear and a storage pod for small items in the center. The storage well at the rear is big enough for crates and dry bags, which can be secured in place with a shock cord.

BKC FK13 comes with an adjustable aluminum seat that will keep you supported and comfortable all day. The adjustable footpegs control the aluminum rudder, so you can turn more easily or improve the tracking in winds. Two rod holders behind the seat let you keep your rods out of the way as you paddle between spots.

BKC SK308

SK308

Length: 10 ft. / 305 cm
Width: 30 in. / 76 cm
Weight: 55 lbs. / 25 kg
Capacity: 330 lbs. / 150 kg

BKC SK308 is a simplistic kayak that proves that you don’t need to break the bank in order to have a quality kayak. This kayak has enough of a v-shape to the hull to cut through waves and wind but is flat enough to be a stable and easy to maneuver recreational kayak. The large cockpit space is easy to get in and out of and inspires confidence in new kayakers.

The large water-resistant hatch at the rear of the SK308 fits spare equipment, snacks, or other items you want to keep safe on the water. The small hatch and dashboard at the front of the cockpit let you keep important items within easy reach. You can cover them by wearing a spray skirt and keeping them more water-resistant.

BKC SK308 is stable enough to suit casual kayak anglers. The dual flush-mounted rod holders behind the seat let you keep your fishing gear out of the way until you are in your chosen fishing spot. Large items such as two-piece paddles can be stored under the top deck bungee on the bow.

BKC SK287

SK287

Length: 14 ft. 9 in. / 450 cm
Width: 21.5 in. / 55 cm
Weight: 44 lbs. / 20 kg
Capacity: 330 lbs. / 150 kg

BKC SK287 is the longest solo kayak that Brooklyn Kayak Company makes. At almost 15 feet long and with a narrow, sleek design, the SK287 glides swiftly across the water. The bow rocker gives you enough clearance to crash over waves, while the hull shape and keel line keep the SK287 tracking through wind and waves.

Adjustable footpegs control the rudder system at the rear of the SK287. This allows you to improve the kayak’s tracking capabilities in wind as well as giving you control when turning in tight areas.

The large rear storage hatch and bow storage hatch provide water-resistant storage for important items. Topdeck bungee on the front deck can be used to store larger items like bilge pumps and spare paddles. Extra storage behind the seat can be accessed by folding down the backrest.

The SK287 might be a touring kayak, but you can use it to get to those harder-to-reach fishing spots. Two flush-mounted rod holders behind the seat let you keep your fishing set up out of the way as you cruise to your favorite spot.

BKC PK11

PK11

Length: 10 ft. 6 in. / 320 cm
Width: 34 in. / 86 cm
Weight: 60 lbs. / 27 kg
Capacity: 420 lbs. / 190 kg

BKC PK11 is a pedal-powered angling kayak. Pedal-driven fishing kayaks let you explore the water hands-free, making them the ideal way to fish on the move. You can control your direction with the hand-operated rudder system, by turning the small tiller next to the seat. If you would prefer to paddle the PK11, the pedal or trolling systems are removable.

BKC PK11 offers a lot of kayak fishing features in a small package. Three flush-mounted rod holders let you keep your setups close at hand, or trail your lines as you paddle. There are mount points near the bow of the PK11 to fit your gear and customize your ride.

A large bow hatch and smaller rear hatch give you access to water-resistant storage for important items. The large storage well at the rear, secured with shock cord, fits buckets, crates, or coolers. Moving around to access your equipment is easy, thanks to the PK11’s high levels of stability and wide profile.

This model is also available with a trolling motor.

BKC PK12

PK12

Length: 12 ft. / 366 cm
Width: 33 in. / 84 cm
Weight: 70 lbs. / 32 kg
Capacity: 460 lbs. / 209 kg

BKC PK12 is a pedal-powered fishing kayak that can take you to your favorite fishing spot. The efficient pedal drive not only works well going forwards but is instantly reversible for you to back out of tight spots. The rear-mounted rudder is controlled by a hand-operated lever next to the seat to help you make tight turns or long controlled movements.

Once you reach your fishing spot, you can make the most of the PK12’s anchor trolley to position your kayak how you want it and avoid missing your next catch. The comfortable aluminum seat sits high enough to let you cast. If you prefer to stand to cast, you will appreciate the non-slip flooring.

The large bow and stern hatches, as well as a smaller stern hatch at the base of the storage well, give plenty of water-resistant storage. The storage well at the rear fits buckets, crates, and coolers. Flush-mounted rod holders let you keep your rods close by but out of the way as you cruise between fishing spots.

BKC PK12 is also available with a trolling motor setup.

BKC PK13

PK13

Length: 13 ft. / 396 cm
Width: 33 in. / 84 cm
Weight: 80 lbs. / 36 kg
Capacity: 550 lbs. / 249 kg

The high storage capacity and huge amounts of storage available on the PK13 make it a kayak angler’s dream. The pedal drive lets you cruise between fishing spots and remain handsfree the whole time. The hand-operated rudder system gives you control in tight spaces and improves the kayak’s tracking abilities when kept straight.

The aluminum-framed seat is supportive and fully adjustable. This can be moved forwards and backward to keep you in the most comfortable pedaling position. This seat is high enough to cast from, but the PK13 is stable enough to stand and cast if you prefer fishing from a higher position

An enormous storage hatch at the bow and the smaller hatch behind the seat gives you plenty of water-resistant storage. A spacious storage well at the stern is large enough to hold buckets, crates, and coolers. They are secured with a bungee cord. Three flush-mounted rod holders give you plenty of space to store your rods out of the way while you move between spots.

BKC MK13

MK13

Length: 13 ft. / 396 cm
Width: 39 in. / 99 cm
Weight: 110 lbs. / 50 kg
Capacity: 551 lbs. / 250 kg

It may be part kayak, part paddleboard, part skiff, but it is all an angler’s dream. BKC MK13 is a fishing platform that can be paddled like a kayak or have a motor fixed to the stern to troll along.

The MK13 is an enormous 39 inches wide, making it one of the most stable angling kayaks around. The top deck grip matting lets you move all around this kayak with confidence. The width does mean that you will need a long paddle to comfortably use the MK13 as a kayak, though.

A pair of articulated rod holders let you keep your rods safe, whether they are upright for travel or down as you troll. The seat of the MK13 is actually a built-in cooler, while the front hatch gives you extra water-resistant storage space. Gear tracking around the edges of the MK13 lets you fit accessories into your setup.

BKC SUPYN

SUPYN

Length: 12 ft. / 366 cm
Width: 36 in. / 91 cm
Weight: 55 lbs. / 30 kg
Capacity: 330 lbs. / 150 kg

The SUPYN changes the way that paddleboards are used for kayak fishing. This rigid board can be paddled standing but is fitted with a seat so you can get comfortable on long journeys. The aluminum-framed seat is supportive and fully adjustable so you can remain comfortable all day.

The SUPYN is an angling-specific paddleboard. Towards the bow, there are two built-in rod holders that can keep your lines trolling along. Gear mounts around the board let you fit GPS, fish finders, and any other electronics you might want, as well as extra rod holders. Storage shock cord at the bow and stern are in place to secure tackle boxes, crates, or coolers.

Unlike a lot of traditional, inflatable paddle boards, the SUPYN has a v-shaped hull and a defined keel line. This couples with the wide beam and soft edges. The SUPYN is stable, but also covers ground easily and tracks well through moderate winds.

Tandem Kayaks

BKC TK219

TK219

Length: 12 ft. 6 in. / 381 cm
Width: 34 in. / 86 cm
Weight: 68 lbs. / 31 kg
Capacity: 595 lbs. / 270 kg

TK219 is a tandem recreational fishing kayak with enough width to give you a stable ride. The TK219 is available with different levels of outfitting. You have a choice of soft padded seats with low backrests, or with framed aluminum seats.

The large hatches available to each paddler offer water resistance equipment storage. These can be used as pass-thru storage. A storage well at the stern of the TK219 gives you space for a cooler or crate and this can be secured with the shock cord.

Each paddler has a rotary holder in front of them to keep their rod close to hand. There are four flush-mounted rod holders around the edge of the boat, giving you loads of options to keep your setup hands-free. Paddle storage on the side carrying handles lets you stow your paddle securely while you fish.

BKC TK122

TK122

Length: 12 ft. 8 in. / 386 cm
Width: 34 in. / 86 cm
Weight: 74 lbs. / 34 kg
Capacity: 770 lbs. / 349 kg

BKC TK122 is a high-end tandem fishing kayak that is designed to cut through waves and choppy water. The V-shaped bow and defined keel line work with the wide beam and stable design to give you a cruising kayak that you can easily stand to fish from. The TK122 suits family adventures, with a central molded seat designed for children.

The enormous capacity of the TK122 means you can take full advantage of all the storage space available to you. Two large water-resistant hatches offer storage for important items like phones, snacks, and spares. A large storage well at the rear of the TK122 secures with bungee cord and fits coolers and crates.

BKC TK122 comes with two flush-mounted rod holders as well as two swiveling rod holders. This lets you keep your rods out of the way as you paddle or troll lines behind you. Paddle racking on the side handles keeps your paddle out of the way as you fish. Accessory tracks along the sides of the TK122 let you fit accessories to improve your fishing, like GPS and fish finders.

BKC TK122 is available with three seat options. The soft padded seats are the lowest profile and are best suited to recreational paddlers and family trips. The memory foam padded seat and high backrest offer greater support and comfort for long days on the water. The upright aluminum frame seats give the most support and a higher position that people may prefer for fishing.

BKC TK181

TK181

Length: 12 ft. 8 in. / 386 cm
Width: 34 in. / 86 cm
Weight: 68 lbs. / 31 kg
Capacity: 595 lbs. / 270 kg

TK181 is an open-design recreational angling kayak. The three swiveling rod holders let you trawl your lines behind you and four flush-mounted rod holders give you storage options while you travel. BKC TK181 is trolling motor-ready if you choose to use power rather than paddle.

BKC TK181 has a sleek hull shape with a keel line that will keep you tracking straight in the wind. A slight kick at the bow and stern stop rolling waves from crashing into the kayak as you paddle. Any water that does make it onboard can be drained through the scupper holes.

The padded seats have high backrests that are fully adjustable and let you stay out for long days on the water. Molded footwells give you options and you can change between a relaxed and engaged paddling position in moments.

Two large hatches provide water-resistant storage options for both paddlers. The large storage well at the rear of the TK181 has space for crates or buckets. Shock cord over the top of the storage well keeps your gear secure.

BKC TK29

TK29

Length: 13 ft. 1 in. / 399 cm
Width: 35 in. / 89 cm
Weight: 90 lbs. / 41 kg
Capacity: 500 lbs. / 227 kg

BKC TK29 is a stable platform that you and your fishing partner can cast from and haul in your catch. This kayak is wide enough to keep you secure but long enough to cruise between fishing spots. The large capacity is enough that you can fit two paddlers and their angling equipment.

A recess in the hull, designed for a fish finder, lets you take the guesswork out of finding your next catch. Gear mount points for both paddlers let you customize your ride too, making this your ultimate tandem fishing kayak. A pair of flush-mounted rod holders in the middle of the TK29 keeps your rods out of the way as you paddle.

Two large hatches give you water-resistant storage options. The large storage well at the rear has enough capacity for large buckets and crates and these are secured with bungee. This kayak is trolling motor-ready so you can upgrade to cruise more easily or hold your position on the water.

BKC PK14

PK14

Length: 14 ft. / 427 cm
Width: 34 in. / 86 cm
Weight: 95 lbs. / 43 kg
Capacity: 670 lbs. / 304 kg

The twin pedal power and the enormous capacity of the PK14 might make it the most versatile fishing kayak that Brooklyn Kayak Company makes. The pedal systems are efficient and reversible so that you can get yourself out of tight spots. The rudder system is controlled by the rear paddler to turn this kayak in any area.

The length and width of the PK14 make it a smooth and efficient kayak but also stable enough to stand and cast. A large storage hatch at the bow gives you internal, water-resistant storage for important equipment. The storage well at the rear has space for crates or buckets and comes with a bungee cord.

BKC PK14 has three flush-mounted rod holders to keep your rods out of the way as you cruise between fishing spots. Accessory mounting points along the sides allow you to adapt your fishing setup to suit your preference.

The pedal units can be removed or replaced with electric trolling motors.
