The Sting Ray is Aqua Bound’s most popular paddle and not without good reason. This is a more recognisable, mid size blade than the enormous length of the Eagle Ray. As far as recreational paddles go, the Sting Ray is a lightweight and reasonably powerful option, suitable for all sizes and abilities of kayakers.
None of the models are especially heavy, but the hybrid and carbon models use Aqua Bound’s carbon shaft, which is not only far lighter than the aluminium alternative, but much stiffer, too. This stiffness works well with the hybrid blades to give you a powerful stroke but also protects your wrists on longer days.
This is an all around recreational paddle. This means it’s equally at home whether you’re a beginner getting out on the water for the first time, or an experienced kayaker who wants to cruise around your local lake. The weight saving measures give you a lightweight swing and recovery, essential for a long day out where fatigue will impede your progress.
