Aqua-Bound Eagle Ray
The first thing you notice with the Eagle Ray is just how long the blades are. They’re a full two inches longer than any of Aqua Bound’s other blades. This might seem excessive initially, but you’ll soon notice that they grab the water totally different to any other low angle blade. In fact, the power they produce can give you similar direct drive to most high angle paddles.

Description
The first thing you notice with Aqua-Bound Eagle Ray is just how long the blades are. They’re a full two inches longer than any of Aqua Bound’s other blades. This might seem excessive initially, but you’ll soon notice that they grab the water totally different to any other low angle blade. In fact, the power they produce can give you similar direct drive to most high angle paddles.
The flipside to the longer blades is that it can be harder to build a high cadence. If stroke rate is more important than cruising speed, there’s plenty of Aqua Bound’s high angle paddles to choose from. If, however, long recreational tours are how you spend your weekends, the Eagle Ray makes long days out much less fatiguing and more relaxed than some more aggressive paddles.
The Eagle Ray is available in a range of options. The hybrid blades, made from fiberglass reinforced nylon, are strong and durable, withstanding any amount of abuse while still maintaining just a minimal flex. Carbon options will give you a stiffer ride, more direct power and a smoother release stroke and recovery phase.
With options of snap button ferrule, or Aqua Bound’s popular, bombproof Posi-Lok system, you can easily change your feather angle on the go. These systems are solid and provide a wobble-free paddle shaft.
